Dining Experience
Dining at Shiloh Springs Care Center is an experience of delight. Our newly implemented restaurant style dining is a hit with residents and their families. You will enjoy the offered entree or something from the "always" offered menu. One of our dietary staff will take your order and then deliver it to your table. Just like at your favorite restaurant. Restaurant style dining is a very popular feature offered to our residents and we are excited about it's success. Our residents participate in a food committee meeting monthly, where they plan the menus. Another positive spin on our patient centered care. Below is a sample of our menu:
- Roasted Turkey

- Seasoned Peas and Carrots
- Dinner Roll/ Margarine
- Blushing Pears
- Assorted Beverages
To accommodate any diet we also have items that are offered daily:
Sloppy Joe, Cottage Cheese and Fruit Plate; Grilled Hamburger (anyway you would like it); Fish Sandwich, Hot Dog, and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. You will also have the choice of French Fries, Macaroni Salad or Potato Salad. You will also have three choices of vegetables: Green Beans, Seasoned Corn and Carrots.
SOMETHING NEW: Continental Breakfast is now being served to our residents from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, Monday thru Friday. The Continental Breakfast includes: cereals, pastries, fruit, toast, and juice. Hot breakfast sandwiches are also served on Tuesday and Thursday. Residents who choose to sleep in can take advantage of our Continental Breakfast.
5 meals per day are now being served at Shiloh Springs Care Center. These 5 meals include: Breakfast, Continental Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and a 7 pm meal. The 7 pm meal is delivered by a food cart to each resident's room. Residents can choose from a wide verity of foods including a sandwich that is made "on the spot!" Also, included on the meal cart are: salads, chips, deserts and drinks.

PEANUT BUTTER PIE RECIPE
One of our favorite recipes is Peanut Butter Pie. Its easy yet delicious. Try it out and let us know what you think...
2 cups Peanut butter (crunchy or smooth)
1 ½ cups Powdered sugar
1 package Cream cheese
16 oz Cool whip
1 cup Chocolate sauce (topping)
2 Graham cracker crust (chocolate crust is yummy with this recipe)
Combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese in a bowl. Beat until smooth. Fold in cool whip and blend. Spoon into a graham cracker crust. Chill for at least one hour.
Drizzle with the chocolate sauce and enjoy.
Yield: 2 pies
